Cowiche Creek Luau Party

Cowiche Creek Brewing Company鈥檚 sixth annual luau party starts at noon on Saturday. The brewery is at 514 Thompson Road, Bldg. #2, Cowiche.

The annual party鈥檚 Hawaiian-themed food menu features items like kalua pork, loco moco, ahi poke, spam musubi and mac salad.

New to this year鈥檚 luau party is the Tiki Hut Grill with Kid and Derrick, featuring Hawaiian boneless short ribs, huli huli chicken thighs and head-on honey garlic shrimp, grilled on the new farmer-built Santa Maria grill.

XYZ and the Boomers will play live music from 5-8 p.m.

Barbecue and brew

Wags to Riches Animal Rescue and Sanctuary鈥檚 annual barbecue and brew fundraising event takes place from 5-9 p.m. Saturday.

The 21 and over event will be held at Sozo Sports Complex, 2200 S. 38th Ave. It includes a barbecue dinner from Vandervate BBQ, live and silent auction, games, beer, wine, signature drink, dessert dash and a 50/50 raffle.

Advance tickets cost $40 and can be purchased at . Tickets at the door cost $45.

Wags to Riches is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps provide quality adoptive homes and caring refuge for animals.聽

黑料福利社 Pippins

The Pippins baseball team is bringing back the Yakima Bears on Friday with Bears Throwback Night at Yakima County Stadium, 1301 S. Fair Ave. The game starts at 6:35 p.m.

The throwback night is also for Alzheimer's awareness and will feature former Bears players, radio personality Todd Lyons, an auction for game used Bears jerseys and fun surprises.

Saturday鈥檚 night game starts at 6:35 and is Native American Heritage Night.

Both nights, the Pippins All Stars take on the Portland Gherkins.

The 黑料福利社 Pippins is part of the West Coast League, a summer collegiate wood-bat league in the Pacific Northwest.

聽Brews Yakima, 104 S. Second St., is hosting a free show featuring Invicta, Late Night Shiner and Eiffel Null starting at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

VanArnam Vineyards鈥 Sounds of Summer Concert Series features Victims of Love, a tribute to The Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The vineyard is located at 1305 Gilbert Road, Zillah. Doors open at 5 p.m. Food trucks and local vendors will be on site. Guests are invited to bring their own blanket or lawn chairs. The concert is family-friendly and kids younger than 16 are welcome free of charge. Tickets cost $30 and can be purchased in advance at .

鈥 Singer and guitarist Jo-Anne Carlson is playing a Sunday Funday show from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Wilridge Winery and Vineyard, 102 Wilridge Way. The show is free and all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets and umbrellas or canopies for shade. Picnics and leashed dogs are allowed.
